People and culture

Meet Rebecca Wrigley, Chief Executive Officer of Rewilding Britain.

Rebecca is one of the founders of Rewilding Britain and is now their Chief Executive. Leading the development of Rewilding Britain’s strategies, she creates and implements the vision and mission of rewilding Britain for a healthier, wilder future. She manages the overall operations and resources of Rewilding Britain and acts as the main point of communication between the board of directors and the rest of the team.

She has worked in the voluntary and public sectors for 23 years, and 15 years at senior management level. Her particular expertise is engaging local communities in decision-making about their land and resources. Rebecca has developed and implemented conservation and community development programmes in the UK, Mexico, Uganda and New Zealand.

The new COO will report directly to Rebecca and work collaboratively with her to lead the organisation. This will enable her to apply more of her focus to the medium to long-term strategy and external communications with key stakeholders.

Culture

Rewilding Britain operates on a fully remote model, allowing its team to work from where they can deliver the best impact. This does not stop them from providing a collaborative and innovative workplace culture, distilled from the core values.

Raising awareness of the great work that they undertake is essential and recently the team took centre stage at this year's RHS Chelsea Garden Show, with an entirely native-species lead garden display.
